Banks have put in over $60 billion dollars into the 10 year notes - WHY? - They did it to meet the cash reserve requirements set by the FEDERAL RESERVE!!!
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? - WITH THE FEDERAL RESERVE EASING - THE BANKS ARE TAKING THE FEDERAL RESERVE'S PLACE - SUPPORTING THE 10 YEAR NOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT'S WHY THE YIELD ON THE 10 YEAR NOTE HAS NOT GONE UP!!!
IN AN ODD SORT OF WAY THIS IS CAUSING THE YIELD CURVE TO FLATTEN!!!
NOT GOOD FOR BANK STOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
LIKE I SAID BEFORE UNTIL I SEE THE 10 YEAR NOTE YIELD OVER 3% - I WILL NOT BUY BANK STOCKS!!!!!
